Breath as an anchor

We came to this world with a breath in and we depart with an exhale. The sacred element of air is so richly embedded in our bodies main frame of work. I have been guiding my clients into conscious breathing practices for a decade now and it all started with my own sensitivities and vulnerabilities of befriending the psyche and soma, in helping me understand the importance of working with elements especially the air.

How does this wisdom wizard creates so much of space, inner awareness and deeper connections within us strengthening our willingness to extend that loving connection and presence throughout our lives.

An anchoring practice through breathing:

Find a soft seat and sit comfortably keeping your back gently aligned with a sense of flexibility and no force in your spine. By simply conscious sitting something shifts and when you start to breathe in this moment the air flow is smoother. You can notice an opening of a canal or a passage way which carries wisdom up and down like a free flowing stream of awakening and light. That’s the magic of your breath.

As you allow more patience and quiet to grow while you are sitting, notice what is happening inside you ? This initial inquiry brings in compassion and self awareness.

Keep breathing and anchoring in this state and as you go a bit deeper and slower to recognise more of what is there .. your awareness softens and expands as your body and the spinal dura uncoils.. ask now whatever is happening inside me can I be with it ? Can I acknowledge and accept it without judging or fighting back? And keep anchoring in while embodying these inquiries by breathing in and out.

This practice is simple yet and amazing anchoring resource into the mind-body-spirit unity .. you can begin navigating deeper emotions through more spaciousness and healing coming in gradually, while you breathe deeply as long as you can in this non-reactive state.
